Facebook’s announcement that it wants businesses to utilise bots in order to communicate with their customers has been in the headlines this week. The big brands that have initially partnered with the service demonstrate the appetite to try and engage with customers in a private space.
The Financial Services industry could well be at the forefront of this innovation as customers may wish to keep their customer services queries behind the public realm that social media currently occupies. No doubt this is just the beginning, and the fact that Bank of America are on board with Facebook’s move already exemplifies this.
