With just 7 days to go until we all head to Lille for AMRAE 2016, the final arrangements are being put to our plans and schedule. This year, we will be supporting a record number of clients attending and exhibiting at AMRAE – all with new products, services and updates to introduce and explain to delegates and exhibitors alike. Our team has completed the design and build of the various exhibition booths – from the simple to the very large, and all of these are now packed and waiting for the trip to begin on Thursday. The final graphics are now being printed, so everything is coming together nicely. The planning and scheduling for the various events and hospitality is also complete – with some exciting content and fine wine and Champagne on offer, so don’t miss out!
And as for the topics that are likely to be under discussion, I am sure that the recently released Insight Report from the World Economic Forum in Davos will be reflecting much of the issues being discussed – with upcoming trends such as Age Population, International Governance and Climate Change leading the way. The Report was supported by Marsh and Zurich Insurance.
Other issues that certainly continue to impact on the sector include ongoing competition and supply chain pressures and how these impact on the level of risk. In Europe in particular we are seeing increased competition in Retail, Clothing as well as Industrial and Manufacturing, leading to greater marketing spend, so pressure on costs and suppliers will no doubt impact on enhanced reliance on digital channels, with the associated cyber risks and supply chain. How will the increasing investment from Amazon in its delivery fleet and drone technology impact here?
