We believe inspired people create inspired branding solutions. So,continuing the regular series, we put one of brandformula's team under the spotlight and ask for 10 examples of things that influence and motivates us on a personal and professional basis.
Next up is our Senior Designer, Owen Moralee.
|SnowboardingThere is nothing quite like strapping a plank to your feet and throwing yourself down a mountain. The cold, crisp air and of course that early morning run on fresh powder.||Joseph Muller-BrockmannOne of my favourite designers, founding father of the ‘Swiss’ style and inventer of the grid system. Perhaps most famous for his concert posters for the Tonhalle in Zurich|
|J-Class YachtsI am fascinated by these yachts. Built and raced by the very rich in the 1930’s they re-defined the nature of racing and began one of the most coveted and long running competitions in the world – The Americas Cup. As well as the history they are for me objects of incredible beauty.||LondonMy favourite city. Although I have lived in London for over 20 years I am still surprised by its beauty, diversity and the sheer array of things to do. Even a simple walk along the river provides a spectacle.|
|RunningA recent convert to running I now try to get out a couple of times a week and train towards a run for charity. This year I took part in the Bupa London 10k and ran for the MS society.||CookingFor me, the perfect way to relax. Whether entertaining a group of friends, concocting something from the left-overs in the fridge at the end of the day or trying out a new recipe there is always pleasure to be found.|
|GuitarWhen I can I annoy the neighbourhood with my guitar. I am not a great player but it lets me live out that fantasy of being a rock god. I wish my amp went up to 11!||FrazzlesA childhood memory that I have recently re-discovered. Crispy bacon goodness! I think I might now be addicted. So much so that my visit to the local shop has been dubbed ‘the swine run’!|
|OutdoorsThe great outdoors. Maybe it is the Neanderthal in me but you just can’t beat a day outside, building a camp-fire and sitting out under the stars. You just have to hope the great British weather doesn’t let you down.||OperaI am becoming quite a fan and I try to see as many performances as possible. There is something hypnotic about the human voice and the many styles and techniques are incredible. The pinnacle so far has been seeing a full ring cycle at the Royal Opera House.|
